Coming up September 7th, 2009 is the Kettering Holiday At Home Parade. This is the 51st year for the Miami Valleys Larrgest Parade and Amateur Radio has been helping out with it for 20 or more years! We perform multiple tasks with the parade from helping to stage the parade, to patroling the route on bicycle mobiles, and more. 25 or more volunteers are needed for this event! Volunteers are asked to be at the Gas Station at the corner of Stroop Road and Far Hills Avenue by 7am for placement. The Parade begins at 9:55am and should be over around noon.
For those of you who would enjoy a great breakfast and don't mind getting up early, there is a free breakfast for amateur radio workers at 5:30am at the Friendly's Restaurant at the corner of Stroop Road and Shroyer Road. More information can be found at http://www.holidayathome.org/
If you are able to help out or have questions, please email me at kc8gle@earthlink.net
Thanks!
